"The horses came streaming off the hill. Panicking, screaming notes of alarm, the moon glowed on their silken coats.
Or the scene where Sahara bonds with the foal:
"Sahara stroked the soft coat. I am running my hands across a real, live baby horse. This is not a dream. This is really happening. It seemed like a miracle, and
In the novel, Sahara is a bit older than the girl in this bronze statue, but I think it captures the feelings perfectly.
Have you read The Girl Who Remembered Horses yet? Don't you think it would be a great movie?
Since the movie War Horse showed his affinity for horses, I might even chose Mr. Spielberg to direct. Call me, Steven. Let's talk . . .

I haven't read the book.... (it is downloaded, however)... but I'm thinking that yes, it would make a great movie! Love the pictures/statue you found to illustrate your points! Yes... maybe one of your friends knows Steven and can put a bug in his ear!
Oh Dreaming - let me know when you read the book. I'd love to know what you think. Oh wait - you're not one of those people who are going to wait for the movie version, are you? LOL
I enjoyed the bit of writing your shared with us, Linda. Yeah, I bet every author can picture her book on the big screen. I know I have. Wouldn't THAT be cool?

HI, as a fellow horse writer I totally empathise! Your words conjure up vivid imagery and I know often when I write I have to visualise it as if it was running on a screen. One of my early books, Wild Horse Island, was written with a movie version in my head and after it was published, I emailed 30 producers and had 2 reply positively. Sadly, in the end it's all about the likelihood of them raising the budget so it hasn't happened..yet. I keep dreaming. But have you sent your book to independent producers or directors/actors who you think would be perfect? Happy to advise on my own experiences if that would be useful.....
Wow, thank you, Jane! No I haven't pursued that route, but what a fabulous idea. We may talk in the future! Thanks for the advice.
